Giving FAQ's

  • How is FCA Funded?

Each FCA area & staff is funded entirely from a network of individuals, businesses, and churches. Staff are required to "support raise" to fund their salary, benefits, and ministry overhead including materials, printing, marketing and more. Additional fundraisers can help support staff & activities and events such as camp, trainings, etc.

  • Does funding come from FCA Corporate?

No. 100% of the funding is generated by each individual staff area to cover salary, operations and overhead of the local ministry.

  • Where do funds go?

All funding runs through accounting at FCA's National Support Center in Kansas City.  Each staff person or ministry area has an "Org", an account for holding and distributing funds.  Staff and expenses are paid out of funds in their Org, hence the need for ongoing funding. Salaries are determined by role and can't be adjusted without supervisor approval.

  • What % of funds go to overhead?

FCA currently has an 11% administrative fee, this goes to support field staff in the areas of accounting, HR, IT, and other administrative functions.  FCA has one of the lowest admin fees among non-profits.
